Located at the foot of the iconic Victoria Peak, this outdoor pool offers stunning views of the Hong Kong skyline and Harbour Bay. The pool itself is large and surrounded by lush gardens. This public swimming pool is one of the oldest in Hong Kong and was designed by a British architect. The Pao Yue Kong Swimming Pool complex was officially opened in 1975 and is located in the Southern District. The pool was built with standardised design features of the time, including two 50m pools, changing rooms and lobby located mostly underneath a covered grandstand and several teaching pools. The pool is named after philanthropist Yue Kong Pao, who donated funds toward its construction.

The pool at the W Hong Kong isn’t just a pool – it’s an experience. Located on the 76th floor, it’s one of the highest outdoor pools in Hong Kong and is 211 meters above sea level. If you’re not staying at the hotel, you can purchase a pass to use the pool and Fit Gym.

It might seem counterintuitive, but the water at the 118th-floor rooftop pool at the International Commerce Center isn’t actually crystal clear. The water is actually tinted red, but it’s still a cool and refreshing place to swim. The swanky indoor pool is also adorned with floor to ceiling windows and LED walls that showcase a watery illusion of coral reefs. This is one of the most surreal pools in Hong Kong, and it’s sure to make for some incredible photos. The pool is open to non-hotel guests, and you can purchase a day pass or everyday deluxe pass for access. The passes are available at the hotel reception desk and online.
