Hong Kong Pools

When you think of Hong Kong, shopping or dim sum are usually the first things that come to mind, but the city has some amazing swimming pools as well. From the world’s highest pool to a natural infinity pool on a mountaintop, read on to discover some of Hong Kong’s most picturesque pools.

Located on the 76th floor of W Hong Kong, this pool is not only one of the best rooftop pools in the world, but it also offers some of the most breathtaking views of the city. It’s the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets below and spend some time enjoying the calming water. There are plenty of deckchairs for sunbathing, cocktails on tap, a restaurant to grab a bite and high-speed internet connection to keep you entertained.

With a tagline like ‘Work out. Wind down’, it goes without saying that the rooftop pool at Hotel Indigo is a place to get some exercise and relaxation in style. After a workout in the gym overlooking the skyline, you can head down to the spacious rooftop pool where you’ll find an array of loungers and a whirlpool. Then, after a swim, you can treat yourself to some cocktails and snacks at the poolside bar.

This unique pool is surrounded by greenery and boasts a gorgeous view of Victoria Harbour. The opulent heated pool is designed to be reminiscent of Roman baths, so you’ll feel like you are taking a dip in history while you relax. The best part is that the pool is open to the public, so you don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to enjoy it.

There are multiple pools to choose from at this modern complex in the heart of the financial district. The olympic-sized main pool is set on the edge of a waterfall and features an interesting curved design. During the summer, the pool hosts music and performances.

The other two outdoor pools are also a sight to behold. The larger of the two, the Wet, is a rooftop pool with views that make you feel like you’re floating over Hong Kong itself.

There’s a Jacuzzi and a small children’s pool that add to the charm of this unique pool. The best thing about this pool is that it’s free to visit during the week and weekends.

Located in Tai Mo Shan Country Park, this series of waterfalls and pools is a popular local spot. The hike to the Bride’s Pool waterfall is a sweaty one, but the crystal clear waters and beautiful views of mountaintops and sea below will make it worth the effort. You can even catch some blue-colored freshwater shrimp from the pool! The pool is a highlight of the Ng Tung Waterfall Trail, which also includes scenic cliffs and kid-friendly nature trails.
