The Hongkong Prize for Science and Technology Innovation
The hongkong prize is awarded to recognise outstanding researchers and scientists for their pioneering efforts in scientific research and technology innovation. Distinguished scholars and experts from all over the world are invited to make nominations in various field, including artificial intelligence and robotics, life and health, new materials and new energy, advanced manufacturing, and fintech. The judging panel will then evaluate and select the finalists. The winner in each field will be rewarded HKD 2 million, a certificate and a trophy.
The review shall be made on the basis of independent judgments and objective evaluations by assessing candidates’ scientific research achievements, the application or transformation of their results, as well as the social or economic value created. It is a platform to promote the best of science and technology, encourage scientific research in Hong Kong and beyond, and nurture talent for the future.
This year, HKUST received a record number of nominations from all over the world for the BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE. It is rewarding to see the prize continue to inspire academic researchers in Hong Kong and overseas to persist in innovative exploration, build their careers here, serve their nation and contribute to the society worldwide.
In order to further encourage employees to take the COVID-19 vaccine and keep working safely, Crown Worldwide (HK) Limited launched a weekly lucky draw with prizes up to HK$2,888. The lucky draw is open to all vaccinated employees and will run until the end of August.
As part of the ongoing effort to help protect people from the outbreak of COVID-19, the government has recently stepped up vaccination campaign in schools across Hong Kong. In order to assist our school partners, CWHK has donated a total of over HK$200,000 to support the vaccination campaign in Hong Kong.
Recognises excellence in research conducted by young Fellows of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. Submissions on any subjects that relate to clinical practice and research in any specialties of medicine are welcomed.
